Protecting the future of skilled trades through real-world training, mentorship, and property-based experience.

For the past 8 years, Scarabs Cleaners has worked closely with property managers, corporate offices, and multifamily communities. During that time, we have seen a growing industry problem: many experienced trades professionals are retiring, while fewer younger workers are entering the field with real hands-on training.

Painters, maintenance workers, cleaners, carpenters, plumbers, and electricians carry valuable knowledge that properties depend on every day. Without real mentorship, that knowledge is being lost.

Scarabs Cleaners is building an apprenticeship program to help close that gap.

The Industry Challenge

Across the property management industry, many of the most skilled blue-collar professionals are reaching retirement age. These workers bring decades of experience, practical judgment, and trade knowledge that cannot be replaced overnight.

At the same time, many younger workers want income but have not had the opportunity to learn directly from experienced professionals in real job environments.

Without apprenticeship and mentorship, the industry will continue to face shortages in skilled labor, inconsistent work quality, and increasing service pressure on existing teams.

Our Solution

Scarabs Cleaners is creating a real-world apprenticeship model that pairs experienced professionals with apprentices on actual projects.

This approach allows younger workers to learn directly in the field while helping experienced professionals pass on the standards, discipline, and knowledge that made them valuable in the first place.

Our goal is simple: build a stronger pipeline of reliable workers for the future of property operations.

How the Program Works

Each apprenticeship opportunity is built around real project experience.

Our model includes:

  • An experienced professional or lead worker

  • An apprentice learning in real time

  • Active work on real property projects

  • Hands-on exposure to professional standards, workflow, safety, and trade expectations

This is not classroom-only learning. It is guided, practical training in the environments where the work actually happens.

Why This Matters to Property Management Companies

Property management companies depend on reliable workers who understand urgency, quality, consistency, and respect for occupied and vacant spaces.

Supporting apprenticeship opportunities helps create:

  • A stronger future workforce

  • Better-trained workers

  • More consistent workmanship

  • Workers who understand property standards

  • Long-term stability across maintenance and service needs

This is not only a workforce issue. It is an operational issue for the future of the industry.
